This week, on the seventh and final week of the Easter Season, we celebrate Ascension Sunday. On this special day, we remember Christ’s ascension to Heaven after spending forty days with His Disciples following the glory of Easter Morning. This is an important part of Christ’s Story, but it is one that we don’t always spend too much time with in our worship services.
In our message, we will hear Luke’s recollection of this wondrous event. We will celebrate that Christ chose to return to the Father when He did, meaning that His redemptive work on this Earth was complete. We will also be challenged to truly believe the Ascension Story and to have our eyes opened to what it truly means for us, today and always.
